If DC could buy some Marvel characters...

His signature move seems to be jumping at you arms spread wide, talking tough and then slashing. I'm thinking even a kid in shortpants can figure away to counter such a clever martial arts moves as that. Nightwing was trained by Batman. so the tough talk wont phase him at all.
I'm sorry but Robin the boy hostage just is not that tough. His best blows would just only irritate Wolverine.

Wolverine is tough. But he's dumb as shit. Which is why he always loses to The Punisher and Cyclops. Basic human thought is his Kryptonite. That's the point I'm trying to make here. Wolverine ALWAYS loses to smart people. Any mild amount of brains will always defeat his brawn. I mean, this is the guy who always charges in like maniac when ever they face Magneto. You know. The guy WHO CONTROLS METAL. After about the 50th time of being picked up and thrown a million miles or getting his metal skeleton ripped out or being forced to stab himself numerous times, you'd think he'd learn his fucking leason. And he keeps doing it time after time after time. It's like that Simpsons episode where Lisa does that report about weither Bart is dumber then a hampster. Colossus, never a brain trust himself, at least has the right idea to try and sneak up behind him and try and gank Mag Pie while he's not looking. Wolverine, the supposed Special Forces vet(yeah right.) can't even form a basic plan to do that.

So if guys with minimal or no powers like Scott and Frank can take out Logan, I'm pretty sure seasoned and smart asskickers like Arsenal, Nightwing, Wildcat, Huntress, Black Cannary, Batgirl, and shit even Catwoman could take out Logan. I'm pretty sure my dog is smarter then Logan. And if I were to train him in Judo, I know he could take Logan out. And that would be one awesome dog too. I'd fucking make millions off of him.

Part of the problem with DC is Superman, he's way too over powered and DC won't allow him to lose again.

DC should put Superman on a time out for a while, focus more on Green Lantern and Batman and they should buy VILLAINS

Omega Red, Dr Doom etc if they want to get mileage out of these characters they should keep them away from Superman comics. Uberman just overcomes anything, DC won't let him lose so he just turns everyone into a punchbag.

Omega vs Batman, Doom vs Lantern now that's a nice idea

Wolverine does the job. His fighting abilities depend entirely on whose name is on the cover of the book. If it says "Wolverine" on the cover, he's awesome. If it has another person's name on the cover, he'll get a butt kicked. Crossovers and team books are a toss-up depending on the writer's preferences.

I have never seen him loose to either of them. But either of those guys are a lot tougher than those that have tied up Robin on numerous occasions. He gets taken down by the Riddler and you think he can take Wolverine. :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I have never seen him loose to either of them.

I've mentioned when Slim took down Logan. Castle has taken down Logan at least twice in his book. He shot his nuts and face off with a shotgun and ran him over with a steamroller. The next time he tricked him into following him and set The Hulk on him who then upper-cut him all the way to Boston.

A ten year old kid getting captured by armed thugs is forgivable and happens every day. He's not Robin anymore btw. If you're going to reference comics at least try and stay current.

An invincible, unkillable, razor-clawed Death Machine with super healing regeneration, Special Forces training, Samuari training, increased agility, hyper-senses, and without an ounce of mercy or remorse getting taken down by a crazy 55 year old with a shotgun is pretty tragic.

Well it has been about 15 years. That ridiculous nonsense called Age Of Apocalypse convinced me to spend my money elsewhere. But if they are having second rate Spider-Man foes like the Punisher beating up Wolverine, I made the right choice.

I thought "Age of Apocalypse" wasn't that bad, it was nice that they had a big story all plotted out that had a beginning middle and an end that wrapped it all up.

What messed things up was that silly "Return to the Age of Apocalypse" mini-series that came out a few years ago...

"15 years"? It looks like it is more like 35!

Dick Grayson gave up being Robin and passed the mantle down to Jason Todd more than 25 YEARS ago. And for around four years before that, he was pretty kick ass as Robin, leader of the New Teen Titans. Dick hasn't been Batman's sidekick since the '70s. Which seems to be the same period you are pulling these generalizations from, such as referring to the Punisher as a second rate Spider-Man villain. The Punisher hasn't been considered that since before he had his first limited series in 1985 and finally broke out onto his own.

If Image Comics ever goes out of business, DC should negotiate with Todd McFarlane to bring SPAWN to the DCU. There, Spawn will meet (and clash with) a variety of equally famous supernaturally-powered beings, including Dr. Fate, the Spectre and Etrigan the Demon.

No. DC is owned by Time Warner. Marvel is an independent publicly traded corporation.
Hmmm.... it would seem you are correct. Which is weird - I don't know where I got that Marvel was essentially owned by Time Magazine, but I know I had some reason for thinking that.

Marvel started out as a company called Timely comics. That might have been it. And it has been owned by other companies before. Time just wasn't one of them.

I gave up on DC long before I gave up on Marvel and despite his own books I will always consider the Punisher as an old Spider-Man foe.
