If Buffy the Vampire Slayer is rebooted and Willow is in the series, should she Dark Willow again at some point?

I used to think the idea of rebooting Buffy was sacrelige, but I've come around on it. If a character is going to have continued life and relevance, it has to be handed off to other creators. And it would also be good to help separate the character from the specter of Joss Whedon, because now it almost feels like you have to disclaimer yourself before you can talk about it ("I know Whedon is a piece of shit, but..."). Honestly, I even kind of like the idea of rebooting Buffy into the Marvel Universe. Disney owns it now, and she is essentially a superhero.
As to the question in the OP, I think I lean toward no. If you're going to reboot it, you have to do something different. It can't just be a remix.

It depends. Literally following the same series of events would beg the question of why they're rebooting the series in the first place, but I think if you're going to go the 'magical addiction' route that led to DW, then there does need to be a tipping point...but not necessarily this kind of tipping point.
OTOH, the end of that two-parter was one of Xander's finest moments, so there's that.

Willow should always be Dark Willow. She should be Buffy's arch nemesis in any reboot.
I don't know about redoing Dark Willow, if we're going to do reboot I'd rather see them do something different with the characters, rather than just redoing what they already did in the original. So if they could find a way to do it differently then sure, but if it's just repeat of what was done before, then no.
The Incredible Hulk, and then She-Hulk made him look like a putz, `after she condescendingly explained that being a woman in the real world is all the training anyone ever needed to be a Hulk controlling their rage.
They already did it again (better?) on Legacies.
When it happens to a man they always regain control of themselves or it turns out it was some external force influencing them or some cop-out.
