i personally would've liked the sequel to be "Memorial Day", where Earthhas taken the tech, and wind conquering other worlds instead.

A combo of Aliens & Humans fight to help humanity regain its humanity.

I'd also have a lot of African, East Asian & SOuth Asian actors....to reflect that many of the main cities were devastated, and the remaining populations are nonwhite,

The AV Club: Anna Kendrick is pissed that The Duff and Parenthood star Mae Whitman was not invited to reprise her role as the president's daughter, and was recast from a pool of more conventionally attractive actresses, including pick Maika Monroe of The Guest.


Maybe Whitman wouldn't have been interested, and no doubt Monroe was a somewhat cheaper hire, but it's a shame she wasn't invited back. It's always fun seeing actors return to a part after a long interval, even in minor roles (like B.D. Wong in Jurassic World)...
