That, and the sheer scale of the multiple Master shots (sic) in the finale - nothing groundbreaking in either case, just the sheer magnitude of what they were doing to accomplish it.

If they had the money to spare they could have CGI'ed his head for the press conference scene instead of having Simms change clothes 20 times.

^I realise that, but the Star fleet uniforms weren't retconned as horrible janitors' overalls like they were in Enterrprise. I'm not suggesting silver jumpsuits or extravagant hats, but something to suggest this isn't 2010 is nice, even if all you do is take something from the past and make it look hip again in the future.

The Enterprise uniforms are based on the jumsuits worn by NASA and the military. Probably the most realistic and practical of any SF design.

Yeah, the Enterprise uniforms are among my favorite Trek uniforms - certainly far ahead of those maroon monstrosities used in the movies that are so beloved of so many fans.

While I would have prefered unifomrs consisting of trousers and a jacket instead of a jumpsuit, I kind of liked the ENT uniforms. At least they had pockets. The lack of which always bugged me on the other Trek series because I'd hate to carry around everything in my hands.

The pockets were good, the rest...they were just too generic, too bland. They should have been an obvious step between the NASA style jumpsuit and the bold colours of TOS. Making them a seperate tousers/jacket look with a coloured undershirt would have been way better. Hell even something like the black shirt Pine wore for most of Trek!
