I guess the best thing is to take it one day at a time. I think too far ahead to be honest.
Yeah, thinking too far ahead can create problems in and of itself. It can seem very daunting and intimidating to realize that something or other will take, say, five years. Thing is, if you do whatever it is that will take five years, the time will pass regardless, and if you don't act, in five years one can easily look back and say "I wish I'd done (whatever it is)."
Metaphorically, think of a lake, and you're standing on one side of it next to a boat, looking across to the other side. Say it will take an hour to row across that lake. Try to visualize yourself on the other side, looking back at where you are now. It's just a matter of row, row, row that boat to get there.
I'm not sure how helpful that will be, but I use such 'visual aids' a lot in life. It helps me to have somewhat of a handle on an always uncertain future. It reminds me that if I don't row for that hour, I'll be right where I started in an hours' time. Then comes the "beating myself up" for not having done it. I wasted a lot of years in that position, thinking pretty much anything was impossible. But the truth is, we have a lot more say in our future that we often realize!
Not only can you cross that lake, but we'll be there waiting with a nice picnic lunch on the other side!
