They will look pink and puckery and awful. Need to have them for about a year before you want too much sun there way.

However, it's true that you have to keep those scars moisturized and protected. I had to get about 40 (very small) stitches in my forehead in high school and the plastic surgeon said that you should massage the scar to reduce hardening and scar tissue build-up; the scar is barely noticeable now. They have some good cremes that are supposed to reduce scarring as well.

I wish my doctors had told me that... I have this big freakin' scar on the back of my neck.
I don't know you on this board, but glad to hear you're alive and able to withstand 16 stab wounds. A guy that looks like Samuel L. Jackson with very brittle bones will be knocking on your door soon.

Had a friend (fellow American serviceman) who got stabbed at a UK rock concert back in 87..14 times and he barely made it..and it was because he was stupid and picked a fight..
