Word about scars...based upon hubby's mistake...DO NOT GET THEM SUNBURNED!!!!!!!!
They will look pink and puckery and awful. Need to have them for about a year before you want too much sun there way.

Eh, he lives in England. Sun shouldn't be an issue.
However, it's true that you have to keep those scars moisturized and protected. I had to get about 40 (very small) stitches in my forehead in high school and the plastic surgeon said that you should massage the scar to reduce hardening and scar tissue build-up; the scar is barely noticeable now. They have some good cremes that are supposed to reduce scarring as well.
