I Noticed that you can see Starbase 12 off in the background of the effects shots, as many times as i have watched even this episode ive never noticed this before but it was a pretty nice touch

I noticed that Picard's "vacation outfit" is diabolical.

With few exceptions, the costume design for Star Trek is just awful.

Oh, come on! You've gotta love Troi's "Dynasty" dresses and Wesley's Bill Cosby sweaters! Not to mention Geordi's "banana comb," I mean, VISOR!

Picard's got one of the more questionable wardrobes in the show. Do you remember that robe of his?

Still, the ridiculous outfit he's got in "Captain's Holiday" always manages to take me by surprise.

You know what the most convincing costume in Star Trek was?

Kirk wearing jeans in Star Trek V.

Entirely reasonable.

Where exactly was the starbase shown? I may have to rewatch this ep (a guilty pleasure!), there might have been a starbase...

well,

yea, the costumes on TNG were kinda cooky, even then but it all comes out in the wash. as for the starbase, i interpreted it as being the starbase, in may not be, it is a gold colored object that is bigger than the stars in the starfield but if your not looking for it, it would be easy to miss. If i remember, its been a few weeks since i watched it, but it can been seen at the end of the ep while the good ship is leaving Risa, just behind(spatial orientation) and over the right nacelle., screen left
