I was..FRAMED!!!

The TRIBBLE episode of DS9 and The Menagerie are great examples of framing stories with new or added material, and make it work real good...

If you were making an episode of any of the TREK shows, and had to use new footage/material from that show to Frame it around, oh, let me thing, The Wizard of Oz movie, how would you have done it????

"Captain's log: Stardate 3211.8. While beaming down from the Enterprise to inspect facilities on Gamma II, the normal transporter sequence has been interrupted, and we find ourselves on a strange and hostile planet, surrounded by creatures belonging to races scattered all through the galaxy....."

The lion could be Uhura's drill thrall.....

;)

CAPTAINS LOG...Picard
Commander Riker and I have found ourselves back in Earth's past. Apparently in is the early 1930s, and have no idea how to get back..

"Jean Luc," Riker says as he drives the old car, "how do we get back?"

"I dont know number one, but if we," Jean Luc starts to say, when suddenly, "keep your eye on the road!!" Picard demanded.

The car came inches away from striking a woman, but thankfully a man in a blue-tunic saved her at the last moment. Riker drove the car on, luckly he hadn't killed the woman or the man who had saved her.

Of course, this sets the plot in motion with them having to make sure Kirk ends up letting her die at the end and so on...I think it could be done, but a certain writer would want ALL the proceeds and so it would never get made...

I'd make a four-hour movie following a plot involving a previously unseen crew who were at the battles of Wolf 359 and Sector 001. It would include all sorts of cameos, really cool effects shots, and it would frame events from the first episode of DS9 and from First Contact.

Also, I'd probably frame Voyager episodes "Year of Hell", pts I and II, and "Threshhold", in some external wrapping that explains why and how they were delusions, or someone playing in a holodeck, or.... something. Anything, really. ;)
