I'd rather see them tackle diversity among humans. The Andorians got plenty of screen time on Enterprise.
the other founding races get, and really have gotten, so little screen time in Trek I think its safe to assume they still go their own way on their own ships at this point in star fleet history. Vulcans seem to be the only ones that put in an appearance. Since the Vulcan Expeditionary Group is still around, and some Starfleet vessles like Enterprise, aligned with United Earth and flying under governance of the UESPA. It's pretty safe to assume the Andorians and Tellarites have their own vessels in the joint service.
And the Klingons were reimagined in TMP onwards, didn't stop DSC there.
The DSC Andorians will have 10 antennae, they'll be purple, they'll have fangs and beards, and they'll only speak in Andorian with subtitles.

As for the moving antennae - that's hardly a reimagining. We saw, what, one or two real Andorians in the whole of TOS? Even if their antennae didn't move, that doesn't mean a whole lot.
