I tripped over my own shoe!!

No, that would have been mrcoaster and Frontline. And unfortunately, the thing that trips them every time is not shoewear.

I tripped over my kitbag after training. I left the bag in the middle of the room, forgot & hurried to answer the phone. I flew into the wall & my right arm at the shoulder bent back. I ended up in casualty, then in a sling & it was 4 months before I could raise my arm above the shoulder joint.

I was screaming in agony, but was useless as was only me home.

OWWWWWW!

This is why I always let the phone go to voice-mail.

You could always do what Monica Matulich did after she tripped on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. She's suing AOL Time Warner, Time Inc., In Style Magazine, Tom Ford Design and American Turf and Carpet, as well as the host venue, L.A.’s Beverly Hilton Hotel, for a defective floor.

Sounds more like a defective person to me.
