I love Star Trek: TNG!

Yeah, but that was for Avery Brooks. It shouldn't be held as doctrine for every black performer - specifically males - on Trek.

Black people aren't monolithic or of one hive mind...;)

Well, to be fair, one of Mayweather's love interests was a white reporter during Enterprise. The name of the episode(s) escape me at the moment.

Wasn't that Demons and Terra Prime. She was a great love interest.

Gannett. She was okay...but it seemed like she was added as an afterthought since they'd ignored the Mayweather character for so long.

At least it was something though. Also didn't really matter as there was only one episode left.

Meh, it mattered to me...

I shouldn't have be satisfied with just 'something'. My standards are a bit high when it comes to black characters portrayed onscreen.
