look at this garbage clip
First of all, what other reason is there to have like three or four well built guys walking around with their shirts off the entire picture except to appeal to a girl's sexual desires. I know I'm a hypocrite here because there are many many movies where a woman are put up for display and are the main appeal for guys, but this is ridiculous. I mean, most of the time, when a woman sees a "hot guy" on the screen, she sees it when he's clothed or during an intimate scene. These guys walk around like this. I thought this was based on a book, but it seems to be entirely about image.
Second, uh, the guy, who is twice her size in human form, overreacted just a "tad" at being slapped by a girl.
Third, are these effects finished. I've seen better effects from buddies. I mean this saga will no doubt make money, so why didn't the studio care at all what the effects look like. Both transformations look very very bad, the animals are much too big yet neither looks solid enough to inhabit real space, and when they transform, they seem to be shedding SOMETHING for a frame or two but WTF
The acting all around was bad, but the girl is obviously the lead, and I can't believe that she is really experiencing these events.
The location photography is passable for a made-for-TV film released in 1987.
