I have some odd questions, requests...

So I got a load of books set post Generations on the Enterprise E, really enjoying them so far.
Thing is, I try to pretend Nemesis and Insurrection never happened because I thought they were so awful, so I never watch those movies, and I don't watch First Contact that often good as it was, I find the bigger the gap between watching the movies the more you enjoy them when you do.

Because I've watched very little of the E, when I'm reading the books I've a hard time picturing the interior of the ship where the scenes are set.

I've looked on memory alpha and Google and the pics of the E's interior are sparse at best, and the ones that do exist are very limited in scope.
So I've a few questions for those who may know:

1. Whats with the Enterprise E sickbay??? Is it like voyager, or is it bigger like in some other pics I've seen that seem to show a totally different set? Is there a diagram of it or pics of the full thing like maybe something like they used to have for the old Star Trek Fact Files with those 3d drawings?

2. Is there similar (3d images or pics) or the quarters?

3. The new engineering looks very very sparse and barren compared to the very functional looking D's, any similar drawings or pics of that?

4. Someone here once linked to a site that had TONNES of screenshots from movies and the series, does anyone have a link to that? A browse through them might help me visualize some of this stuff better when reading.

Either they cheaped out big time on sets for the E in the movies or they never made full sets or diagrams of what they were meant to look like, or both.

Thanks.

This site has screencaps for the movies, so I'm sure you can find plenty of images of the Enterprise E's interiors.

And yes, in First Contact and Insurrection, the Enterprise E's sickbay was the exact same set as Voyager's. A new set was built for Nemesis.

Could be that Starfleet had begun to use a standardized design for the small "clinic" sick bay, with a bigger sick bay used for emergencys.

^Yeah. The Enterprise D had a Main Sickbay, implying there were other sickbays.

Thanks, screenshots are great.

Voyager sickbay set seems so small for a ship the size of the E so I suppose that in universe explanations as good as any.

I remember reading something once that suggested there were at least two sickbays on the Enterprise D, one in the saucer, and one in the stardrive section.

Though this idea makes sense, it is unfortunately negated in Generations. After the evacuation of the stardrive section begins, all the wounded are evacuated out of sickbay, and when the reach the saucer section, they're just left in crew quarters. I suppose we could explain this as the saucer's sickbay being filled, but it's likely just an oversight.

^ What's more interesting is that the main sickbay was always supposed to be in the saucer section.

I always took that, mainly though, that they were evacuated because Sickbay was on the lower levels of the Saucer section and they were worried (if they crashed) that Sickbay would be destroyed.

Well, to be fair, there wasn't a whole about the evacuation in Generations that made sense. Like why were there civilians and children in the stardrive section? There shouldn't be any reason for them to ever leave the saucer.

And aside from Geordi and his assistant, everyone else are douches leaving the children to fend for themselves in the evacuation.
