I Had the Most Amazing Day

Some of you will probably think I'm crazy, but I just feel compelled to share about this awesome experience. I was at church when I felt the holy spirit on my heart like never before, and seconds later I could hear a man in one of the backrooms having a demon driven out of him by God. I could just feel God in the church. The love that God gave me during that time was just amazing, I was just so overwhelmed from the sheer joy of what He was doing!!

You are not alone my friend, I am very happy to hear your story and truly believe it. At church this morning I as well had a great experience, the message in the worship service felt like it was directed right at me, I felt the holy spirit this morning as well. It made me want to come down and re-affirm my faith in Christ in front of the church, in fact, I may do that. It is absolutely amazing when the holy spirit grabs you, I definitely want that to continue in my life as I walk with Christ.

My wife was volunteering, so I spent all day Sunday with my two little kids. We had one of those days I'll look back on fondly when I'm eighty.

The Holy Spirit didn't enter us, but a tube of Oreos did.

I'm glad you're happy and I believe that you believe there was both a holy spirit and a demon in the room with you. I do not believe in these things, however, and I think that those who do believe so because of intense mental and emotional conditioning from a very early age.

I had an amazing day too. I got a raise in the middle of a recession, while working at a bank.

Not quite enough to sway me from my agnosticism though. Now, if gay marriage became recognized on a federal level and religious authorities declared that sexual orientation was none of their business and that something I had no control over didn't mean I was going to be damned in the afterlife, and I found a wonderful boyfriend on the same day, _that_ would probably do it...

I'd offer a God Bless you, MC but he obviously already has. I too have been moved by His power while sitting in a church (as well as other times outside of church) and it's indescribable on a certain level. Anyway, thanks for sharing your wonderful experience.

***ETA - Some of the responses I've read after the OP are just stunning. People that are seperated from God ask for tolerance from those that are not. How about showing some of your own and having a civil discussion? Or not posting in the thread at all? The OP, who I have certainly disagreed with in the past, did nothing to warrant these responses.

I think you are a bit confused what tolerance is. Tolerance is a position that means that if you want to go to church and drive out demons, nobody is going to stop you. It doesn't prevent those people pointing out that they think you are batshit mad.
