Yep, that'd definitely be a case where I remind them that the car was on private property, and that they could go screw. If they want to enforce it for parking on public land or roads, all well and good, but if i feel like parking sideways in the middle of my lawn, it's my call...
Reminds me of what happened in my hometown a while ago. Tickets were being given out to people who had left their car doors unlocked in their own driveway.

As I recall, it was the police wanting to cut down on the amount of petty crimes they were having to deal with, and they thought one of the best ways was to reduce the number of people who's cars were being "broken" into.
