Yep, that'd definitely be a case where I remind them that the car was on private property, and that they could go screw. If they want to enforce it for parking on public land or roads, all well and good, but if i feel like parking sideways in the middle of my lawn, it's my call...

Makes me wonder if all the city owned land i.e. fairgrounds is all paved and if they'd ticket you there too..

Not legal. And I wish them good luck in trying to enforce this, as it's a massive lawsuit waiting to happen. In fact, I would guess there are lawyers just lining up for this right now, ready to work for the people who got the tickets. When something like this hits the international news, oh, you just know it's going to blow up in their faces.

Also why are they even in the neighbourhood? I don't know how is it in most places but here I only ever see Traffic Wardens patrolling streets in around the city and town centres, especially where there are parking restrictions and yellow lines. There doens't seem to be any reason for them to go anywhere near resisdential areas.
