I DEMAND that this happens

It's too obvious and it would be awesome.

I DEMAND that a future Batman movie features Mathew Lesko playing the Riddler.

Well shit, I demand that the unfunny Sarah Silverman get the fuck off my TV screen, but people keep giving her work.

We don't get what we want.

I looked him up...

Matthew Lesko (born June 5, 1943) is an American author and infomercial host. He has authored reference books telling people how to get "free" money from the United States Government. He is popularly known as "that question mark guy" for the Riddler-like suit that he wears in his television commercials, infomercials, interviews, and in his everyday life.

We already had Jim Carey...

Seriously, I think the Riddler would be an excellent choice for the next Nolanverse Batman film. IF they don't go the Joker clone route (which, I felt Schumacher did with his version of the Riddler).

Just someone who commits normal crimes and is pretty good at it, too, except he feels he has to leave behind a clue, in riddle form.

It'd be really cool if the clues were very, very subtle and we got to see Batman show us why he is the world's greatest detective. And if the Riddler was not an over the top question mark guy, but a sick, low key, master criminal.

What will happen first:

Jayson's sex demands or Trekker's entertainment industry demand?

Ugh. They should either just not make a sequel to Dark Knight or scrap all the idiot DC universe villains. Christopher Nolan can surely invent a villain that's far superior...

I don't demand solid facts. What I demand is a total absence of solid facts. I demand that I may, or may not, be TheBrew.

"Riddle me this Batman, where can one go to buy army surplus jeeps for $50? What government grants will give you thousands of dollars and are free to apply?"

"Damn, he's good..."

Although I'm with Trekker on this one, can the darkness of the Nolanverse handle that much over-the-top?

If they do decide to use the Riddler in the next Nolan Batman film, he should be a Zodiac-like serial killer who leaves clues to his next crimes in riddles and codes either sent in to the press or police or left at the previous crime scenes. Batman is at a disadvantage as a fugitive in not having access to the crime scenes and letters sent to police, except for what Commissioner Gordon can relay to him. But every time he gets close to catching the Riddler in the act it also places him one step closer to being captured by the GCPD who are also on the case.

This would let Batman show off his detective skills more than the previous two films did, and would be a smaller scale (but still extremely dark) story rather than having the entire city be on the verge of destruction again. Also, hopefully we can avoid a massive piece of technobabble playing such an important part at the end of the film like the water vaporizor or the cell phone SONAR.

At the end, Batman's capture of the Riddler can in a way redeem him somewhat with the police and the people of Gotham. He'd still be an illegal vigilante, but not outright hunted like he is following the end of The Dark Knight.

In Nolan's universe, a smooth art thief or cat burglar type (at the risk of stepping on Catwoman's toes) would be perfect, as would the serial killer idea. Someone who's rich and only does it for the challenging and, after hearing about Batman, comes to Gotham to match wits with him. Just absolutely perfect. Not only would he be able to keep up with him as Batman, but he could be every bit the playboy Bruce Wayne is, too.
