I Can See Why The Show Was Cancelled...

LOST has the worst CGI on a major TV show, looks like a cartoon.
I'd say that Heroes doesn't do a very good job with the backdrops, like when Peter was in a deserted New York or when Noah was in Moscow.

As for the CGI on LOST, I think it looks great and very convincing, especially when they take us to various locales like the Middle East or that big rock in Australia. [Lost spoilers ahead...] I only noticed that the departing sub from "The Incident" was CGI because I was looking out for it.

Sorry for the blatant WTF. But WTF?!

Back in season 1 and 2, LOST had VERY good effects, VERY good sets and VERY good cinematography, then around the back end of season 2/season 3, it seems like they just gave up.

The island originally looked gorgeous and interesting, and wherever the characters went to on it, it always looked different. The Hatch/Swan Station was also immaculately designed and constructed, and the CG set extensions, Smoke monster appearances and the originally pilot with the plane tearing in half looked awesome. Cut to the opening of season 3, where we see the plane tearing in half, and it looks like crap.

Going back to TSCC, that CG was perfectly fine. It was nothing eye popping, but then it didnt need to be, It flowed well with the effects seen in T2. Only difference being is whereas T2 took place predominantly in sunny outdoors, this took place in a dim factory, which would hamper the shinyness of the T-1001's look.

Hadn't noticed. [More Lost spoilers ahead...] About the only sub par scenes that come to mind are the sub sequence and the shot of Othersville in the season 3 teaser. Even if the CGI isn't the absolute best, it's not like it's as obvious as on Babylon 5 or anything like that.

Oh, and as for the season 1 sets, that spot inland where they set up camp did look like a set. It was probably the only set on the show that didn't look convincing.

I don't count anything NBC shows as a major TV show.

Plus I agree with the other poster, do you need stronger glasses? The sub is what I'm talking about! The show looked great for many years and this year they had VERY little CGI and everytime they showed it I laughed my ass off! It was so cartoony and horrible, it really with drew me fro mthe show.
