I Can See Why The Show Was Cancelled...

I dunno what gave the studio the idea that terminator was this sustainable franchise.

T3 did OK, but not nearly as good as a movie that came out in 1991, without even adjusting for inflation!

Then Terminator TV show does very low ratings and gets cancelled after 2 years.

Thanks! I'm really sorry I made fun of your favorite show. I hope being snide to me will lead to bigger things for you, like finally talking back to a real person you know in real life that did you wrong...not some faceless person on the internet.

Being snide is awesome, and there's definitely some pot and kettle interraction here, possibly involving one suggesting the other is black - I don't bear you any ill will and you know it.

It was a good show, and I am sorry that it's gone, but it was hardly my favourite. Your thread, on the other hand, is a contentless waste of time, only barely salvaged by the stirling efforts of Temis and some others to talk about something that can be discussed.

Personally I thought the CG in Terminator was all right - nothing special. It was perfectly adequate for tv though. I don't think the low viewer count was in any way related to the special effects, but, unfortunately, it obviously didn't appeal to a lot of people for a variety of unfortunate reasons.

Christ it's awful. T2 was made in 1991, sure it had a bigger budget, but this looks like it was made in 1987.
So it has special effects akin to TNG season 1-2?

Shit, you want to bitch about special effects, The Outer Limits was on forever and was the cheapest looking scifi show since Land of the Lost!

I was being snide a TV show and you made it seem like I was a simpleton who is just capable of reading.
So we may both be a pot and a kettle, but in different kitchens.

The CGI in the Series Finale was better. I agree about the CGI in the raid on the Skynet bunker by the T-1001 though. It did look bad in a lot of places.

Cool scene:techman: Thanks for the link.
Im sad that they canceled the series.
I have only, so far, seen the first season of the show and i liked it a lot.
Good cast, stories where fine and the action scenes where cool.
I just hope they will at least release the second season on DVD, so i can watch that also:)...

Then you could have said: "Hey folks, look what a silly scene I found."
The title is downright inflammatory.

I liked SCC. I admit the lead characters (John and Sarah) annoyed me but the show had a very strong supporting and guest cast and had a lot of really good episodes.

This show had low ratings? I vaguely recall it airing all the time on Fox as though they were milking the show to boost their ratings or something.

Anyway, I must say I cannot understand all this whining about CGI. The scene looked impressive enough to me, and certainly conveyed how dangerous that terminator woman was. What more do you want out of it?

I couldn't buy this show after tuning in to see Sarah breaking into a secure area, threatening a guy, then walking away with her back turned, promptly getting shot. Considering these characters are supposed to be military badass types, they make a lot of dumb moves.

Also, trope spotting.

The show was canceled because it became extremely boring.

However the CGI is fine, LOST has the worst CGI on a major TV show, looks like a cartoon.
