Humans Only??

Was Capt Janeway right in choosing Tuvok to ba a part of the away team in "Futures End" pts 1 and 2. When Voyager was brought back to LA in 1996, all that you would have needed was for Tuvok to just cut himself, and then everyone could have seen all this nice Green Blood. It may have been hard to explaine that.

Would it have been a better to choose Harry to go on this mission. This may have been a mission for humans only. Speaking about Tuvok, do Vulcans have first names??

I think that's the one thing some people don't understand. Much like Spider-Man taking off his mask in part 2, people in major cities like NY or LA don't notice stuff like that. There are so many odd things we see on a daily basis, it just becomes a blur.

If it doesn't happen in front of a camera crew, nobody really notices.

Exactly. Even if someone had seen him bleed green blood, what are the odds that one of those people would choose to do anything about it? Pretty slim.

If nothing else, a few people would tell their friends about the random black guy they saw with green blood that day. And the rest of the people who saw would probably forget about it within 5 minutes because they have their own lives to worry about.

Nobody is going to think twice about it, because it's somebody else's problem. Yes, Voyager has that technology.

I also think that Janeway considered Tuvok as one of the most qualified to be on that away team, despite him being an alien.

And she did actually have some confidence in Kim too, putting him in charge of the ship!

As for the aliens on the ship, Tuvok and Kes looked rather human and cold easily fit in among humans while it could have been more difficult to send down Neelix to 1996 Earth. But on the other hand, he could have disguised himself as a punk rocker! :)

I think it was because Janeway trusted Tuvok the most, having known him for that long (However long THAT is). She probably didn't think he would mess up, because he is so efficient. Also, he would be able to hide his ears fairly well, so no biggie.
