I don't think I've anticipated the release of a Trek film this much since the years and months leading up to the release of Star Trek VI.

I said almost the same thing to someone else today. This thing I'm really hyped for. Couldn't believe I smiled when saw that corridor.

Sharr

I couldn't believe there was 100 posters in this forum today. :D

Oh, I'm convinced that this is the start of something to frustrate and tease us... probably should have asked this a while ago, but what does ARG stand for?

Alternate Reality Game. Some are just smatterings of backstory that give clues to where a movie/TV show's storyline is headed, like the ones Abrams seems fond of, some are puzzles that lead to easter eggs like production art and spoiler/teasers, and sometimes, it's just blatant advertising, like the secret decoder ring in "A Christmas Story."

("Drink your Ovaltine," my ass!)

Why? Because it's slanted? Hmm... seems to me nuBSG didn't pioneer that look... DID THEY!

Eh, I couldn't find a decent pic of the BSG corridor set after 2m of googling, but I think the similarities go deeper than that. If I hadn't been told the pic was from the new Trek movie, I would've assumed it came from BSG. :)

I don't think this an Enterprise corridor.

I think it's Nero's ship, circa the late 24th century.

Well, that certainly doesn't fit with the other three images on the page. Maybe we're playing that old Sesame Street game. "One of these things just doesn't belong here. One of these things just isn't the same..."

I think SeerSGBs post pointed out the evolution well. :)

Re: http://www.ncc-1701.com/

This could easily be a staging area or gangway to the ship.NASA is fond of gangway shots to ingresse . Did I spell that right?

[Middle English ingresse, from Latin ingressus, from past participle of ingred, to enter : in-, in; see in-2 + grad, to step; see ghredh- in Indo-European roots.]

Yes I did - nevermind

NASA speak - I bet that s where we are going - JJ wants 'real' . So be it. I'm there! :)
