How would you introduce a science-fiction newbie to TNG?

We've just started watching with our 12 year old. He's been into Star Wars since he was about 5, and he liked Babylon 5 when we watched it recently.

I did ask him not to judge the show too harshly based on the first few episode and that it would get better. His comment on Naked Now was "it looks like the actress playing Tasha's really enjoying herself" and I had to agree.

Data thinks he never went back for more, but she could have been 50 first Datesing the wee android, wiping his memories, every time she had an itch, post coitus to keep it professional.

Where Silence Has Lease

*balls up both hands into fists and pumps them high in the air*

The episode where Worf fights SKELETOR!!!

With the exception of The Royale, I agree with the remainder of your list; even though there are a few funny moments interspersed throughout that episode, the script is rough..."post-apocalyptic sandpaper found in an abandoned automobile's trunk in the middle of nowhere" rough.
