And I'm not really sure about the Rick Berman or UPN part. As I understood it, Rick never got a memo telling him to make the show edgier, so he didn't want to reinvent the wheel, as it were. I admire the Man, deeply, for his respect of Gene Roddenberry's vision for STAR TREK in the 24th Century. But by the time Voyager came around, certainly, enough time had gone by where STAR TREK could've benefitted from a shot in the arm, if you like.

Definitely should have junked the multi-colored coveralls in favor of having them dress like this.

Wouldn't be the first time...remember the final scene of Gattaca, in which an expedition into space is crewed by a bunch of guys in business suits.

I do think the idea of having different AQ species taken by the Caretaker is a good one. Especially Dr. R'Mor.

What about other DQ species? I wish the Voth scientist Dr. Gegen could have left his society that was cruelly suppressing his work and ideas. If he and his daughter and assistant could have escaped, maybe they could have come to earth as well.
