How will you want Star trek 3 to end?

xavier

Commander
It may be obvious that this could be the last time we see this new cast as trek characters. I personally have really enjoyed this new actors take on iconic characters and a part of me wished I had seen them on tv instead than of in films. so in case this is their last role what will you want the final scenes to be kirk, spock, sulu, uhura, carol, bones, scotty etc.

Everyone on the Enterprise playing a game of cards like TNG? flash forward future scenes where some of the characters have settle down, married, left the federation or become admirals?

I have always had this weird vision in my heard of NU Kirk becoming the president of star fleet academy and mentioning your star fleet boys the way Pike had mentored him. this is of course after he had completed the 5 years space exploration as captain of the USS Enterprise.

I sure hope the final scene of trek 3 is touching, emotional, fulfilling and above all memorable as this new cast will be surely missed.

Tough question, do they leave it open for a sequel in the hope of a good box office performance or does it all finish neatly and on a high like The Undiscovered Country?

I guess it depends on what plans the powers that be have for the franchise. If (and it's a big if) they have plans to make a new TV series based on this continuity then I'd like to see some kind of link to that. If it is just to be the last movie and the likes of Shatner and Nimoy are in it then a big emotional ending should be on the cards.

I hope it finishes with the announcement that new people will be taking over for ST14. ;)

way too soon. I love this cast. it will be hard to just accept a new group of people immediately in comparison to tos. star trek 2009 was 15 years after the undiscovered country. I dont favor a reboot too soon.

in fact I will prefer a cartoon like the clone wars based on NU TREK than a brand new reboot with another new cast.

The Enterprise gracefully moving towards an uncharted star, a blinding lens-flare, and then the end credits.

how about:
Kirk (Shatner) inside a black hole sending signals back in time to Spock (Quinto) in order to prevent the Borg assimilating the galaxy.. Then being thrown clear and picked up by starfleet 50 years later and starting a search for Spock Prime who has been lost on some distant planet..

While the Enterprise crew survey the wreckage of the bad guy's Scary Evil Spaceship, Spock Prime joins them.

Spock Prime: "My work here is done."
Kirk: "But you didn't do anything."
Spock Prime: "Didn't I?"

Spock Prime beams away.

A huge volley of photon torpedoes like what made the rift in space in Yesterday's Enterprise, between the Enterprise and an alien we have yet to see - then a huge flash of light and come bursting out of it on the screen "To be continued.." Yesterday's Enterprise was supposed to be a movie anyway.

Kirk: Ahead, warp factor Six.

Sulu: Aye, Captain.

You know, just another day at the office.

Excellent. :techman:

Only if it's preceded by a corny joke between Kirk and McCoy, probably at Spock's expense. There's laughter, Kirk gives Sulu the order, and the camera pans out as the laughter starts again. Spock, of course, looks either puzzled or peeved.

Actually, I hope it ends with me having really liked it. :)

I'm holding out for a post-credits scene with Shatner and Nimoy as Kirk and Spock, sitting on the bridge and staring at the camera. Kirk says, ``You're still here? It's over. Go home,'' and Spock says, ``Indeed'' and nods.
