How will it End?

So how do you think Trek08 will end? what kind of doors will it leave open for future movies. Will it end on a possitive upbeat note (will it have the typical fanfare music at the end leading to the credits)? or will Abbram's give us a WTF ending to try to keep us guesing until the next possible movie?
I like the second idea, a surprize ending that leaves us more questions than answers. If this movie does well, maybe they'll film the two sequels at the same time.

The movie will end with Pine's kirk smoking a cig and singing "Rocketman"

Sorry, I couldn't resist :D

If sequels are intended that is fine but I don't want it to cliff-hang, I want it to end as a self contained story.

Old Spock is walking off into the night. History has not gone quite as he remembered it, and he has resigned himself to remaining in the past, attempting to ensure that the universe still unfolds as it should. He stops and looks off into the sky, when a figure comes up behind him.

Old Kirk: Hello, Spock.

Spock turns around, reacting in abject shock (both eyebrows go up)

Old Spock: Jim?

Old Kirk: Don't freak out, it really is me.

Old Spcok: (almost inaudible) Fascinating...

Old Kirk: It's going to be okay. I've come from the 24th century. I know how things turn out. And we can leave those kids to live their own lives.

Kirk and Spock then beam away.

After the credits, there's a scene where Kirk tells Spock that they're on the Enterprise-E a Monarch-class starship that's going to be their ride back to the future. They arrive at the bridge, and meet the captain, the newly married Kathryn Sisko, who jokes that this milk-run to the past is easier than when she went back in time to trick the borg into killing the Founders before the Dominion was created.

Spock: Jim, this isn't exactly how it was when I left.

Kirk: Eh, close enough.

Fade to black.

^HA! on that note

Kirk and Spock are fishing at Kirk's pond

*A fish jumps up*

Spock- Didn't the holo tape say there were no fish in the pond?

Kirk-Eh, close enough

*Kirk uses his lizard tongue to snag a fish*

Kirk, Spock and Mcoy singing row, row, row your boat. or with old Spock lying naked in the tub and his girlfriend comes and finds him dead.

Old Spock will bid his stoic farewell to the new crew who are lined up in a row...

"Mr. Scott.. keep those engines running efficiently."

"Aye sir."

"Chekov... always be mindful of all around you.

"I vill do my best, sir."

Pausing for just a moment in front of young Kirk...

"Live long and prosper my friend."

Kirk will stiffen and only nod his good-bye.

Spock will then lean over and hug the scarecrow on the end. "Oh, scarecrow, I think I'll miss you most of all..."

We will all then meet in the parking lot to trash the movie and sneak a bong hit out of the back of Sam T. Cogley's car.

I think Abrams himself on some radio show used the term "self contained" when talking about this film, though of course I can't imagine every loose end will be tied up nicely - since the point of this movie is to expand the audience and prove Trek is a viable product... they might want to make more movies.

Pine will look earnestly into the camera, tell the audience a sequel is coming, raise his right hand and say, "Promise".

Then he will belt out a duet on the Bridge with the Shat.
