How will it End?

So how do you think Trek08 will end? what kind of doors will it leave open for future movies. Will it end on a possitive upbeat note (will it have the typical fanfare music at the end leading to the credits)? or will Abbram's give us a WTF ending to try to keep us guesing until the next possible movie?

As long as the movie does not end with "Computer, End Program!" ;) ;) then I will probably be alright with it.

I was talking about the film, not Star Trek fans reactions after watching it :) ;)

Or the moderators of the Trek XI forum...

Old Spock-I envy you... the world you're going to

Young Spock-I envy YOU... taking these first steps into a new frontier.

*Old spock flies away in romulan time machine*

Young Kirk sits in the captain chair of the Enterprise, puts in a cd of "The Doobie Brothers"

Well, we know from the recent interviews that it ends on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 23rd century. I suspect it'll have Kirk taking command, after being promoted to captain and might be reminiscent of his Star Trek VI line that I think went something like, "Nearest star on the right, straight on 'til morning". Geez, been ages since I've seen that movie. Did Kirk have any other trademark way of telling them to take the ship out?

Yes.
'Take her out' :D

Well, if Abrams wants to stay true to TOS, there's a good chance it could end on a lame joke and everyone on the bridge breaks out in forced laughter as the camera pulls back.

Actually, I'm sure whatever the details of the ending are, it will be clear that the stage has been set for more adventures (the boxoffice take willing).

It was "First star on the right. . . "

It's from Peter Pan. Those are the directions to get to Neverland.

"This tale of how Kirk and Spock met was all true. And by true I mean false. It's all lies. But they were entertaining lies. In the end: Isn't that the real truth?

We'll, that's the end of the picture folks. I've been Leonard Nimoy... goodbye."

Whispers off camera

"We've got another 10 minutes to go?

Fine! Get Bill then.

Waddayah mean? CHECK AGAIN!

He should still be bound and gagged in the truck of my car."

:p

How will it end? Easy. The closing theme will play and the movie credits will roll. The last thing on screen will be the MPAA rating. ;)

Thanks for clearing that up for us... if this were the daily kos I'd hit the recommend button...
Thanks!

Maybe it will end with a special after the credits scene of Kirk sitting on the bridge of the Enterprise smiling... only to have an annoying yeoman walk up beside him... and he sighs...

Actually, it's "Second Star to the right and straight in til morning" .. you'll never get to Neverland with the wrong directions!

"To days to come." - Young Spock
"All my love to long ago." - Old Spock

My apologies to Russell Davies.
