How the ENT fans feel about other ST shows?

First I'd like to say that it's TheGodBen's thread How do Niners feel about TNG? that gave me this idea...

So, I'd like to know which of the show's (other than ENT, of course) is your favorite, what other ST series do you like in general and what exactly do you like about them.

Feel free to discuss your least favorite shows too.

Even though I consider myself an ENTERPRISE fan, my favorite show is TNG, but I also like TOS and DS9 very much (and consider them far superior to ENT, even though they're not as dear to me), and I don't exactly hate VOY either.

Enterprise is either my second or third favorite show, with Voyager and TOS being the others in the Top 3. I enjoy all the series, with even my least favorite (DS9) being a B- compared to Enterprise's A or Voyager's A+, for example.

DS9 is my favorite hands down. I love the facts that it's highly serialized and that it has in depth character development (and not just for the main cast). That, and I think it has the the most outstanding cast of all the shows.

I'd have to say my preference is DS9 > ENT > TNG > VOY > TOS.

ENT, I love. I've never gotten any of the hate for it. I even loved the first two seasons. Though I will admit that they are pretty weak compared to the last two. Hell, I even loved Precious Cargo. Season Four is what puts it above TNG for me. Some say there's too much fanwank. But I say, the more wank, the better.

TNG is the Trek that I grew up with. For the longest time it was my favorite. I like to think of it now as like my first crush - it will always have a place in my heart, but I've matured and moved on to more rewarding things.

VOY I like for what it is - TNG-lite. It's no more, no less. It doesn't claim to be anything else, and I respect it for that. It could have been massively improved upon, but it's still highly enjoyable.

TOS is my least favorite for this simple reason - it's like saying who is the ugliest Playboy centerfold. They're all unbelieveably beautiful, but if you're going to rank them, one must come in last. Maybe it's just that I didn't grow up with TOS. If I had, I'm sure it would rank higher for me. As it is, I just feel like it's too campy at times and dated for my tastes.

TOS is the center of my Trek universe. There is simply no comparison.

After that, I view the spinoffs relatively the same; sort of similar satellites in orbit around the sun. But I would say I am a little more fond of ENT than the others because of the differences that set it apart.

What I mean is, TNG, DS9 and VOY all have the same look to them. The uniforms and the weapons; the transporter effects and such all are very similar so they kind of all run together to me. There's no real visual identity.

ENT has this identity that is specific to it; just like TOS. I find the two to be good bookends to the TV run. If not for DS9 and VOY, then TNG could've possessed its own visual identity - but because of the latter two it lost its identity in the mix.

All of the series have their good and bad episodes; but I generally enjoy the good ENT episodes more than the good episodes of the other series. Except for TOS of course.

So I go TOS > ENT > TNG = DS9 = VOY

edit: You know, on second thought it's not just visual identity, but just the whole identity; names of things "phase pistols" and "polarize hull plating" and things like that. No prime directive. No Starfleet armada. There were a lot of things that made both TOS and ENT have their own identities from the other series.

edit edit: I just noticed the other threads with this topic and have a feeling you were asking the question to people who regard ENT as the best series. When I first read it I thought you just meant someone who liked ENT relatively more than middle-ground; so you can subtract 1 TOS from the poll since TOS is actually my favorite.

We wouldn't be here discussing this without TOS, but for me it shows its age far too clearly. When it's good, it's brilliant (City on the Edge of Forever, The Menagerie...) but when it's bad it's atrocious (Spock's Brain, Turnabout Intruder).

I like shows with long story arcs, the longer the better. That's why DS9 was my favorite Trek for the longest time, and why my two favorite TV shows are the reimagined Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5.

DS9 is my favorite trek over ENT by a slim lead. I like the main cast of ENT better thand DS9, but DS9 has less "stupid writer" episodes and a more developed supporting cast. The supporting cast for DS9 is better than all other series combined. Other than Sharan ENT never had much development of supporting cast. But then, that is one more than any other Trek Series.

So, my order is

DS9 -> TOS -> VOY -> TNG

I find the first two years of TNG to be the most difficult to watch. TNG is showing its age while TOS has moved to "vintage".

TOS has always been my favourite, grew up with as a kid. Then my next is TNG with other three being equal. The fact is I love all the Star Trek series and at times change my mind as to which I like in which order with the exception of TOS, always #1

TOS can't really compete with the others, I grew up with it. Rewatching it, it is funny sometimes and it certainly has aged, but the first love is never forgotten. So it's last show, first show and I liked all the in-between, no need to put them in line

It goes DS9 > ENT > TOS > TNG > VOY for me. Never got the hate for Enterprise. Nor the love for TNG.

My ranking goes as follows:

1. TNG/DS9, my two most favorites. I love them both. Neither is better or worse than the other.
2. TOS, the one I grew up with and love, but the other two are better.
3. VOYAGER/ENTERPRISE, my two least favorites, but still enjoyable. Like no.1, neither is better or worse than the other.
