Actually, Picard was like 60 or so when TNG started, so he's closer to 75 in NEM.

So how old was Spock by TNG? If humans can live 150 years and Vulcans live 200 should someone half-Human and half-Vulcan live 175 years? Would it depend on which species has stronger genes? I don't know when Spock was born, but it seems to me that he is living the average lifespan of a purebred Vulcan.

What was the story about? I'm about to purchase it anyways, but I'd like to have an idea of what his function in the story is..And don't all forget, Mccoy made an appearance during the Dominon War as well in the story "Safe Harbors" in the anthology "Tales of the Dominion War"
