How old are you?

^It was indeed a great year because it was the year that I graced the world with my presence.

If you can't count that makes me 35 this year. Shocking because I still feel about 17 most days.

I was 14 in 1975. That was a great year.
It was the year of fire. The year of destruction. The year we took back what was ours. It was the year of rebirth. The year of great sadness. The year of pain. And the year of joy. It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed.

74 was a great year for me. Whole family went to Scotland to see relatives and stuff. I saw castles and museums, and found a little part of me that had been missing, and want to go back again. Soon. Real soon.

I still can't get over today's kids like *our* music. That ain't right! I can remember wincing over my mother's music and my mother yelling at me to turn that shit down in reference to my music.

 My 13-year-old's iPod plays Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Billy Joel, and Badfinger, among others. She may be a moody so-and-so at times but at least she has good taste in music!

I was born in '67 (a good year, our nation's centennial :)) So my childhood was the 70s, but it's the 80s that I connected with, as a teenager, more, and thus the 80s music is nostalgic for me. Big hair bands! Woo Hoo!

Quickly approaching 30. :(

 I thought you were way younger than that.

^^ Well, welcome back. Or welcome out. Whatever. :D

Same here, and I'm pushing 50. Hang in there.

Your 13-year-old daughter listens to Simon & Garfunkel? My hope for the future of Humanity just increased a notch. :bolian:
