I think she did boff him and found it unsatisfactory. That's why she's so determined to get the hell off the planet.

That's also why when Q wants to mate with her he says "I know I have no right to feel this way, but..." She had previously given him the "friends" speech and spelled out that he has no right to feel that way on account of lousy sack performance.

That's also why he's looking at her all dreamy eyed and she's all *meh* in return for the rest of the series.

Remember, the only confirmed instance of Chakotay having really great sex is when he's mentally linked to the woman and can feel what she feels. Thus, for the first and only time in his life he performs adequately.

That's also why he eventually ends up with Seven. In addition to being the only available woman with the capacity to recreate that link she also has no previous sexual experience and has a serious medical need to keep from getting too excited. Lucky Chakotay is covered on both fronts.

They did have sex during the episode. It wasn't shown because Voyager was a family show and they weren't going to have sex scenes (but later Harry Kim got VD from some alien).

In regards to the OP, I don't think it would have been just his needs that she'd be giving in to. His needs would be part of it, but I think he was very interested in taking care of her needs and I don't see that changing in bed.

We all know who wore the pants in that relationship, especially on the planet. Chakotay would have made a good little wife. Unlike the other posters in this thread, I can't say if he would have been good or not, but he certainly would have tried.

Oh, and as for my vote, on that little canoe trip. I think they would have kissed on that trip, and that the barrier would have broken down.

Edit Speaking of a lack of barriers...you know she was still of child-bearing age at that point, right? Can you imagine her pregnant on the planet, or in natural child birth?
