Been meaning to clarify this since episode one aired, but how much do they know? April seems to commend Pike for his handling of it, but does he know everything that happened? Did La’an find out as well?
How much do April and La’an know about the classified Discovery event?

Looks like she did. I hope they don't keep bringing it up. It's not like it was the enterprises greatest adventure ever.
April knows everything now because he got to see the classified files. La'an only knows what was said in front of her in the pilot.
It felt like La’an knows more just based off her dialogue near the end. I guess we’ll never really know.
April was read in, as the military parlance would go.
None of them know Discovery survived and went to the future. All they know is the battle with S31 and that she was destroyed, as per the debriefing scenes in "Such Sweet Sorrow" 2.
When Pike orders Number One to tell what happened over Una's objections over La'an's lack of security clearance, Una says that Discovery was sent into a wormhole to the future. La'an knows what happened as of that conversation in her presence.
Now that April has been read into the classified report, April presumably only knows what's in the official report, which does not include the tidbit about sending Discovery to the future.
^^Exactly right. Whereas La'an does not know anything about the Control aspect, because they didn't discuss that in the lift.
