How Many Times Have You Watched Each Trek Series?

I am rewatching all of the Star Trek series. The last time I did that, Enterprise had made it to DVD. I am curious how many of you have re-watched each series, and what keeps you coming back? I will start - TOS 3x, TNG 3x, currently on DS9 3x, Enterprise 2x, VOY 1x, the streaming series, only 1x for Disco and SNW. I enjoy the science, the stories, the character development and the escapism into different worlds. I also enjoy discovering how series overlap with characters, storylines and dialogue. There's more of course, but that's a start. Note that I am retired, so I have been watching it for a while. What about you?

I saw about 75% of the Berman era on TV back in the day, and I recently decided to rewatch it all simultaneously, all the season 1 episode 1s, all the episodes 2s, and so on. I was curious about how the seasons would compare directly, whether Voyager was so bad next to TNG etc. (I have to be honest, I ran out of enthusiasm and never finished rewatching TOS season 3, but I watched the rest of them!)

For the Kurtzman era I've seen the first two seasons of Disco twice, all of Picard twice, everything else once. I gave them a second watch because I was with someone else who was watching them, but they didn't want to continue so I stopped there.

From back to front, I’ve watched them all once, aside from recent stuff, some of which I haven’t watched at all.

This isn't exact because I've seen some episodes more than others, sometimes a lot more. So, for the earlier series, how many times I've seen them are impossible to tell.

TOS - Most episodes at least a handful of times. Several times for my favorites. I have no accurate count. The more I like an episode, the more I've seen it.

TOS Movies - Hundreds of times might not even be an exaggeration.

TNG - I watched this show every weekday in the early-to-mid-'90s. So did lots of people. So the total number of times is impossible to count. More recently, my 2019 Re-Watch in the lead-up to PIC and a few more times after that thanks to YouTube Reactors.

TNG Movies - I've seen FC several times, I don't know how many, and the rest a handful of times.

DS9 and VOY - The vast majority of episodes at least three times in the '90s and '00s. I did a full Re-Watch of VOY in 2023-2024, but didn't document it here. Now I'm doing a second Re-Watch where I am documenting it, along with DS9 and B5. Throw in YouTube Reactors I'm following as well.

ENT - Binged it once in 2010 and forgot most of it. Binged it again in 2020, during the Quarantine, and remembered more.

DSC - I've seen the first season a handful of times, but most of them before 2020. I've seen the other seasons two or three times.

PIC - I've seen Season 1 three times, Season 2 twice, and Season 3 four times. I've already started to pair up PIC S3 with the TNG Movies and will continue to do that going forward.

PRO - Every episode once and only once.

The Rest - I stopped watching. So I've either seen these episodes once or never.

TOS-ENT I’ve done a full rewatch at least 3-4 times each. With plenty of single episode viewings from each series. H&I is a godsend when there is nothing else on.

Disco, Lower Decks, Picard I’ve rewatched once.

Have never done a full rewatch of SNW or Prodigy. Although, I do rewatch the previous season of SNW before the next one starts. So I’ll start a rewatch of S3 once we have a start date for S4.

I couldn't even tell you how many times I've watched TOS, TNG, and DS9, but I think that it's safe to say there is a lot of Voyager and Enterprise that I've only seen once.

As for the newer stuff, I've seen everything at least twice with the exceptions of Picard season 2 (bleh) and Prodigy season 2 (access issues).

Not much of TAS and I gave up on PRO about 1/4 of the way through.

I’ve seen TNG, VOY, DS9, and ENT all the way through 3-4 times.

VOY more than once. Even the bad ones. Guilty pleasure.

DISCO, PIC, SFA, SNW, PRO, LD Once. Likely no more. Some I might.

Honestly I haven't watched any reruns in years. Of anything. Maybe the occasional refresh before the next season starts but, overall, none. I cut the cord in 2008 so my viewing habits have changed. Of course, I am rewatching shows from last century, some I missed, some I never finished, some 1 watched once when I was a kid. So, instead of reruns I'm doing rewatches from previous decades.

TOS
Growing up, the local Fox affiliate would air TOS in syndication on Saturdays(?)... but seemingly skipped many of the "bad" episodes. So I saw the usual episodes 5-7 times, favorites like "Mirror, Mirror" and "The Trouble with Tribbles" 20+ times... and several of the bottom rung ones only once or twice.

I didn't get to "Plato's Stepchildren", "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky", or "The Alternate Factor" in full until I got the Blu-rays...

TNG
Ah Monday to Friday strip syndication. Must have seen most seasons 1-6 episodes at least five times each. Others 10+ times each. Some season 7 episodes I've probably seen only three times (original airing, DVD rewatch, Blu-ray rewatch).

DS9
Golf preemption fodder for the local station growing up. Didn't catch some early season episodes in full until strip syndication. So, overall, I've seen most episodes at least 3-4 times. Except "Take Me Out to the Holosuite"... haven't rewatched that since the original airing. Not a fan of extreme baseball navel gazing.

VGR
Luckily no UPN preemptions where I grew up. Also the first series I taped when it aired. So I've seen most season 1-5 episodes at least five times each. I checked out during VGR season 7. Most of those episodes I've only seen once, during the original airing. I've probably only seen "Endgame" twice.

ENT
Watched each episode 2-3 times during the original airing. Then a few rewatches during HDNet having the episodes stripped on cable. Then a Blu-ray rewatch. So most likely I've seen your average ENT episode more than a DS9 or VGR one. Thank you HD masters.

DISCOVERY
Watched seasons 1 and 2 as they were released on Netflix. Rewatched on the Blu-rays. Seasons 3-5... a binge marathon just after season 5 finished. So a majority have only one viewing.

Only made it to 1x09. 9/30 watched.

PICARD
Season 1 once
Season 2 twice
Season 3 maybe 6 times?

LOWER DECKS
When a new season would come out post season 3, I'd do a rewatch. So some episodes I've seen 4 times, others only once.

PRODIGY
Season 1 three times, season 2 only once. Need to get around to a Blu-ray rewatch.

SFA
Episodes 1-6 watched once. No rush to clear the backlog.

SHORT TREKS
First set, once. Second set: unwatched, saved for "Children of Mars".

Oh wow. This is hard to guess, I haven't kept count.

For Star Trek I know I've seen every episode multiple times. I watched them all through on VHS as a teenager, and this is the only series I've owned the full run of on both DVD and Blu-ray. This is the series I watched them all the most.

I know I've seen all of The Next Generation beginning to end three times, possibly four, and I've watched most of it more times than that, catching episodes in rotation on TV (and PlutoTV, now).

Of the "broadcast era", Deep Space Nine is the one I have watched the least. I have seen the whole series once from beginning to end. I have rewatched the first few seasons a few times, but I tend to check out around the time Worf comes on board. There are episodes after that that I like and I've seen a bunch, but I haven't pushed through to watch the whole narrative straight through again.

Voyager I watch a lot. I know I've watched it beginning to end at least twice, and I have it's dedicated PlutoTV channel playing all the time. This and the original series are my "comfort Treks".

Enterprise was the first series I watched beginning to end during first run. I've done a second dedicated watch through in the years since, and have watched a bunch of it catching it random episodes on streaming too.

I watched seasons 1 - 3 of Discovery as they were coming out. Haven't gone back to watch seasons 4 & 5 yet.

I watched season 1 of Picard as it was coming out. Haven't gone back to watch seasons 2 & 3 yet.

I watched seasons 1 & 2 of Lower Decks as they were coming out, stopped there, but recently went back and watched the whole series (so I've seen those first two seasons twice).

Skipped Strange New Worlds as it was coming out, but recently watched all three seasons once.

Starfleet Academy is what made me decide to give the "streaming era" of Trek another chance. I have watched each episode once as it was coming out (then went back and watched Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks). I will rewatch them all at least once before season 2 comes out.

I didn't count how often I watched TOS I watched DS9, SNW and parts of Voyager twice, the other shows once with the exeption of Prodigy because it is not on Paramount +.

I don't think I've seen all of TOS to be fair.... It wasn't until it hit Netflix that I had the change, but I was watching so many things at the time.

TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT all twice, with random episode here and there. All of Disco, all of SNW sofar, both once. Lower Decks, all of it, once. That's it I think.
Oh, and all of the movies, several times.

I've watched every show - except for Scouts - through twice at a minimum. TOS takes top honors for the number of rewatches, followed by TNG and DS9.

I've seen all of the films - except for Section 31 - more times than I could possibly count. I damn near wore out my 6-film VHS set of the TOS films as a kid.

TNG - Every ep at least twice, but seasons 3-7 more.
DS9 - Full watch at least four times, but partial rewatch/random eps countless times.

ENT - Every ep at least twice, random eps more.

DSC - Season 1 and 2 every ep twice, seasons 3-5 just once.
PIC - Every ep once.
LDS - Every ep twice.
SNW - Seasons 1 and 2 I've seen twice (and random eps multiple), season 3 once.
PRO - Every ep once.
SFA - Once.

TOS movies - Multiple, lost count.
TNG movies - Multiple, lost count.
KEL movies - Multiple times, not sure.
Short Treks - All at least once, Children of Mars two or three.
Section 31 - Once.
Scouts - Zero.

I've re-watched all the old ones and all movies countless times. The modern stuff, twice each until recent seasons where I need to catch up and re-watch LWD S5 and SNW S3. Disco S5 I watched once and will re-watch again... at some point. S31 twice, I still have zero memory of it though and probably won't see it a third time.

VOY: Like TNG seen many episodes multiple times, have gone through the series at least twice on DVD.
ENT: Saw every episode in it's original UK TV run. Gone through the series on DVD at least once, never seen the Blu-rays or the show in HD (yet).

Disco: Seen every episode, seen the first season twice (rewatched it just before season 2 came out).
Picard: Seen every episode.
Lower Decks: Seen every episode up to season 4 (haven't watched season 5 yet).
SNW: Seen the first two seasons, yet to watch season 3+.
Prodigy: Seen every episode, season 1 twice. Saw season 1 when it originally came out on streaming and the rest when the Blu-rays were released.
SFA: Not seen a bit of it yet unless you count clips on YouTube.
Section 31: Nope.
Short Treks: All of them once.
Scouts: Watched the first few of them, not bothered with the rest.

Movies: Probably too many times to count. Saw a few the first time on TV (can definitely remember seeing TUC, FC and Insurrection for the first time this way). Saw them all for sure for the first time on DVD. Saw the three kelvin movies at the cinema and 2-3 times on DVD/Blu-ray.
