How many times have you seen the movie so far?

I saw GENERATIONS four times in theaters. That remains my all-time record for seeing a film in a theater before it came out on home video.

Three times so far. I'm unemployed now, so if I go any more, it will probably have to wait until it comes to the discount theater. My current record for most times I've seen a movie in theaters was when I saw TMNT 6 or 7 times back in 2007. 2nd place is Superman Returns with 5 theatrical viewings. 3rd place is a 3-way tie between Serenity, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, & Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith with 4 viewings each.

The movie gets better on repeat viewings, particularly as I acclimate to the new actors and radically alternate timeline. But I think it says something about my cool reception of the movie when you consider that I've seen it far fewer times than many of my non-Trekkie friends.

Arsenal, I cannot quote the dialog verbatim; and I don't know what percentage I know.

I've seen the film twice. Opening night, and then the following night. It's been a while now, and I wouldn't mind checking it out one more time before it leaves the theaters, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I'm up to 7 times now and Im looking to get to 8. Up until now, I've managed to see it once a week since its come out. And I've only paid for it once!

This is definitely the most times I've seen a movie in theaters. The most I've been to a single movie at the theater was 3 times.

Alas, only 3. I'm debating as to whether I can squeeze out one more viewing. I have to say, unfortunately, I fear that some of the headache inducing threads in here have somewhat reduced my drive to see it again.:(

But why would threads on a message board sway you to not see the movie again????

Two times was enough.
I've seen it twice as well, although I would see it a couple of more times for sure. As a side note, I think ive seen maybe 2 or 3 movies in my entire life more than once at a theater so its a big deal for me to go more than once.

Me too...I've never seen a movie in the theater more than once...so me going twice is a big frikkin deal....it's even a bigger deal considering that I hate the cinema...period!

I have a feeling that the DVD is going to be my new "HELP!" in that, since "HELP!" I haven't watched a movie, over and over and over again. (I was huuuge into the Beatles when I was in HS. Used to give my mother a chuckle, since they were her generation. ;) )

When things are good, they're good no matter what generation was it's origin......that goes for the Beatles and Star Trek too. I think I wore out my "This is Spinal Tap" VHS tape...and I remember my mom bringing home that movie for us and I was like "what the hell mom????....What is this crap...??? " LOL turned out to be one of my favorite movies....

I've seen it three times so far. Twice on the regular screen, once on IMAX. I'm hoping to see it one more time before it leaves the theaters.

Yesterday, I saw it for the 8th time, but I think I'm going to not count this and try for a do-over. I saw it on an IMAX screen, and it was not an enjoyable experience, which disappointed me because I was so geeked to see it this way. My neck ached from having to look up so much, I had a very hard time following the action (it was hard to look from one end of the screen to the other quickly), and strangest of all (because I'm not normally prone to it), I got motion sickness watching it. I was not feeling good by the time we left. I can't make this my last memory of watching ST on the screen, so I probably need to see it one more time in a regular theater to wipe the stink of the IMAX from my brain. After all, once it goes away, there's a long dry spell till the DVD comes out. :)

Was it a domed screen? I remember watching a Harry Potter film at San Jose tech museum and not enjoying the experience because of looking back and forth all the time.

Flat IMAX screens are much better for purposes of movie watching.

I was on an extreme TNG-themed kick in 1994 what with the series ending and the new movie coming out and featuring Kirk. And the plot really wowed me at first even with the logical loopholes.
