Re: How many times have you seen it yet?

Saw the second time today. I went to a 4:30 showing. My first time was on Monday on an IMAX screen.

Five times, but I'll never see it in IMAX, because, to quote Kirk and McCoy, "I might throw up on you."

Only the once - but believe me, if it wasn't for the fact I have two children to look after, I'd still be in the cinema!

Once, though I plan to see it again tomorrow. If I see it a third time in the theater, it will be a while from now when it is in the cheap theaters. I don't have the time or budget to live in the theater. ;)

Unfortunately none of my local theaters have IMAX, some of you are lucky. :techman:

Re: How many times have you seen it yet?

Thrice.

Friends are in town this weekend from the future headquarters of the Starfleet, so greatly looking forward to the fourth soon.

And the DVD viewings will doubtless be countless.

Re: How many times have you seen it yet?

We just got home from seeing it in IMAX the third time (Thursday). The crowd was nearly as large as the sneak-preview opening night last Thursday. We have tickets to see it tomorrow night again.

Twice. Once in IMAX and once in a regular theater. A friend bought the IMAX tickets in advance for the Saturday showing for four of us. Unfortunately, we got stuck in traffic and showed up only 10 minutes early. When we arrived, the theater was already filled to capacity and there was no way we could sit together or even split up in pairs:brickwall:. We had to exchange our tickets for the 9:00PM Sunday showing. Sunday evening the theater was almost completely full again but this time we showed up approximately 25 minutes early and got fairly decent seats.

I saw it again on Tuesday with my sister, her boyfriend and couple of our mutual friends at a regular theater and was very surprised that the theater was, again, almost full. Some people from work are going to see it this Saturday and I am tempted to join them. sadly, the fact that I'm not made of money puts the limit of two theatrical viewings per movie on any movie so the next time I see this it will be on BluRay.

My advice to everyone is SEE IT IN IMAX. Especially if it's your first time seeing it. It's worth the extra money.

Nice avatar, Bonzie.

Its official - the Austin Pan-Geeks (http://www.austinpangeeks.org) shall be gatherin' at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum at 1800 North Congress Avenue, Austin TX for the seven pm showin' on the IMAX screen this Wednesday, May 20.

That'll be my fourth time to see the movie, if I don't get to it again before then.

Three times so far, and listening to the soundtrack while driving ("Enterprising Young Men" may just cost me a speeding ticket!)

Gotta see it once or twice more, maybe one more time in IMAX.

My plans to see it tonight have been CRUSHED. I was DEVASTATED. I had what is probably my first fight with Mr. Teacake about his FAILURE to REMEMBER my plans.

If this happens again I may have to dispose of him.

I am panicking about it leaving the theaters before I see it enough times to satisfy my needs.

I was on a business trip out in Mountain View last Thursday, so I dragged my Star Wars geek friend to see it. I still don't get why it opened on Thursday, but whatever. He loved it :)

Still on that business trip (part 2), I was in NYC on Saturday night and when the mysterious voice on the subway said "Times Square" I figured I'd get off the subway and go see it again. I haven't been to a movie alone in, oh, 25 years. It was so worth it.

I'm finally home (Austin) and, yep, I'm going to see it again. My husband won't go to a movie alone, so he wouldn't go see it while I was gone. I imagine we'll go down to San Antonio to see it in IMAX.

Too bad I can't get some sort of frequent flier Star Trek miles.

(edit - oh, cool, it's showing here in Austin in IMAX! They usually don't do that! WOOHOO! No horrible drive to SA!)

Re: How many times?

Twice, once with The Wife and once alone. I might see it again with my daughter and with a friend.

Once. I'll make it twice next November (or whenever) when the DVD comes out.

Bob Bullock is closer than the drive to San Antonio.

Just sayin'...

Yeah, when I initially wrote that, I'd discounted Bob Bullock because they rarely show feature movies. I was quite pleased that it was here and bought tickets. I've hijacked two coworkers into going Saturday as well (one is the same guy I dragged to see it in Mountain View).

So Saturday will be three, and I'm betting I'll see it a couple more times before it moves on.

I am on my way out the door to see it for the first time at matinee. Due to family illnesses, I have not been yet. Looking forward to this very much. It has been driving me crazy trying to stay away from spoilers.
