I would definitely want it replaced with a Trek series I can get behind. But, if my only choices are STD or no Trek, I would choose no Trek.

So, wait, are you talking some sort of time travel episode where they go back in time and prevent that time travel episode from ever happening?

We could get trapped in time loop where Discovery season 1 airs over and over again.

There is enough hours of Trek, that IMO, we do not need more Trek at any price.

I would prefer they try and fail than not try at all.

Just based on most shows, five seasons is a very comfortable run. TOS still serves as the shortest of all, with ENT a close second. I think the length of this series will symbolize the appeal to Star Trek after such a long hiatus.

So in that regard I'd be happy with 7 seasons as it would be a nice return to the Renaissance era of Star Trek (80s-90s).

Four seems like a really comfortable number to me. At most, five. I feel like, unlike ENT, Disco hasn't struggled as much to find its footing, so I could see it going the same or one season longer than ENT.

Actually, this was true long before Star Trek ever even existed.

Well they seem to be planning for 9 or 10 seasons, but I reckon we'll get 5 and then the show will segue into a spinoff.

I'll take that deal too. I only need TOS, TNG, DS9, and Enterprise.

Does the season count matter if the series is only available on CBSAA?
