How many registered vehicles do you have?

Zero. I walk bike and bus everywhere. I much prefer the extra money in my pocket and healthier lifestyle to a small amount of convenience.

I have none, i dont even have my drivers liscence.

I can;t imagine that. I got mine the day I was eligible. How old are you?
I'm 19. I also live downtown Edmonton where you cant find a parking spot and go to school where parking is overly expensive and just as easy to bus to. I also work at the stadium and Rexall where parking is equally expensive, if not worse, and faster to get to via train anyways.

So really, what's the point?

I have one, my '02 Chevy Cavalier. The odometer doesn't work, the motor is burned out on the driver's side window, and the muffler is held on by a wire coat hanger. :D

Oh, and that plastic piece that you pull over the sunroof...that flew off when my friend tried to open the sunroof without pulling it back at about 75mph on the interstate in Des Moines.

It's not too difficult. I live in a small town (70,000ish population), so my bike gets me where I need to be.
:guffaw: :guffaw: Around here we call that nearly twice as big as the nearest big city.

And if one of my friends isn't going to the nearest large city when I need to, there's a shuttle bus that's not too expensive.
If you really lived in a small town there would be no shuttle bus going anywhere because it's simply not cost-effective to operate.

It sounds a little strange at first, but once you start biking you become pretty reluctant to go back to car ownership, in my experience. (I know a few other people with just a bike, and they've actually made decisions on where to live based on how bike-friendly places are. Hopefully I'll be able to continue using a bike and mass trans when I move away from here.)

I would probably bike on a daily basis if I didn't have my daughter. I'd still keep the car at home though for those days when I need to go to another city for a shoot.

We're down to a '98 Jeep and a '99 Camaro, both paid for. I've also got my '02 Yamaha motorcycle.

So, you have one of the ones in better condition on the road :D

I have no cars registered to my name
We have a small car lot, so I just smack a dealer plate on the car and go! :D

My friend had a Cavalier that actually lasted 200,000 miles, so I thought it wouldn't be a bad buy...at least it isn't a swamp like my Neon was. That thing leaked so much water into the trunk and floor every time it rained, my car was an ecosystem unto itself.

yeah... cavaliers can last if you take care of them

Neon's are just pure disposable cars that people shouldn't buy!!!

Had a 98 Cavelier. Took care of it and the motor still blew. Piece of crap.

Basically I know how to drive almost any type of vehicle except stick :P
No offense, but that's like saying you eat all types of food, except for meat.

Eh, you try to drive an older vehicle. They are harder to drive than the new ones. The no power steering and no power breaks, I don't think a lot of kids these days could drive a car like that. Have you?
I've driven a 1954 Land Rover with a diesel engine that was way low on power and a frelled clutch so just getting the thing to move was an adventure. Oh and the tires were too big, so steering the thing on a more or less straight road was quite a bit of work. And don't get me started on parking the thing. ;) Oh, and I'm 6'4" so I was seriously cramped. We called that thing the gas chamber 'cause some of the exhaust fumes were getting into the car.

Ah... good times. :D

Ahhh It happened sometime in 06. Maybe late summer? The reason it blew was because I had a water pump fail and the block warped. I tried to have it machined but they did a crappy job and the engine blew.

So it was the ultimate fault of the water pump.
