How long would the human race exist if we were turned into dogs?

Now this would take a act of magic or God, or maybe alien to do but lets go with it. One day every human all of sudden finds themselves as a dog. Your still yourself and self aware only it's not like a tv talking dog. I don't think human language is even possible to come out of a dogs mouth even they could talk. What do you think would happen.

Now think about it. All our tech would be almost become useless since it's all designed to be used by humanoid shape humans. It would take luck and forever to just get keys in the ignition of your car and then you couldn't drive anyways because you couldn't steer and use the pedals. You couldn't cook either and soon every business would shut down and their would be no way to keep the power up.

The other issue is communication. You would not be able to really communicate with fellow humans. While you might put 2 and 2 together that everyone has become dogs since you would see no more humans walking around but you would see tons of dogs everywhere behaving in non dog ways. While you could maybe hunt for food like a real dogs can it's not like you have spent your life training for being able to do that kind of thing.

I think we'd be fine. There are a few documented cases of people turning into dogs; one was a district attorney, and another was a private investigator. They both managed seemingly okay, albeit with a few hiccups along the way.

Think of how many people would be locked in and starve to death. I mean, I started thinking when I read the question, and there's no way I could turn the door knob to get out.

If I'm following this right, it's basically a problem of living in a post-apocalypse, without opposable thumbs. I mean if you'd said orangutans instead of dogs, not much would really be different for us. In fact, some people already live with dogs, & would have such amenities in the beginning, doggie doors, etc... Plus, if I couldn't get my doorknob to open the door, I'd bust out a window eventually, for example.

But I'm confident that any post-apocalypse scenario would have some of us survive, unless all life on the planet is destroyed

Written language would still be possible. Using writing utensils poses a problem, but in dire cases, etching in the dirt, or some such, to get your message out could be used, at least enough to communicate with other altered people, so you could pool efforts & work as teams. Then we'd begin establishing a more rudimentary verbal way of communicating that dogs could do

Some people have. Plus, you now have greatly improved senses of hearing & smell to work with
