Well, going by the actual missile used for filming, the Titan II, the second stage (which would be the phoenix herself, or the missile minus the big rocket that boosted her up), is 20 feet long. This seems a bit short to me though. (please excuse me if I have made a mistake while reading the site I referenced...it's late.

That's just the "prop" used though. I believe Memory Alpha describes the Phoenix as being a converted Titan V missile. Since that has yet to be invented...unless there's some canon source out there, I'd say it's safe to assume that the Phoenix was just upward of the actual measurements of a Titan II second Stage. I'd say ~25 feet, just slightly bigger than the actual missile, to account for any extras that Cochrane added, say the cockpit, which might have been bigger than the tip normally installed on Titan IIs.

Too bad there is no Titan V design planned.
It's a bit silly that there's an Atlas V, really, as the original rocket body was optimized for very specific performance and doesn't offer major advantages for modern launch vehicles. The Delta IV is a more generic and in many ways more robust vehicle, not suffering from an ICBM past. But Atlas V competes by being quite different from the original ICBM; the name is quite misleading, really.
It's far from said that somebody in the near future doesn't decide to cash in on the good rep of Titans I, II, III and IV (or 34B, whose silly name may have contributed to her demise
), and create a Titan V that bears no real resemblance to those originals...

We would appreciate a Titan V being designed and flown, but they seem to want to use Atlases and Deltas.
