How long do you think the Trekbbs will last

As long as AntonyF is taking care of things, I think it will last. If he ever chooses not to and there is no replacement, than it might be over. Everyone is giving all the credit to Bonz, and yeah while she does a great job, it's Antony who makes sure the board is actually running smoothly and doesn't crash.
I think our history will go something like this...
2012 - The great Civil war where the local inhabitants turn on there moderator's overlords and place Aragorn as our new leader because he promises us more threads about half naked chicks.
2015 - The TNZ is engufled in Civil War, which threatens to spill over. Left with no choice the new mods of TREK BBS activate the self destruct device and the TNZ is destroyed
2020 - TREK BBS forums members begin to dissaper under mysterious circumstances. At the same time this happens in other SCI FI forums around the net.
2021 - Blamed for attacks we are invaded by another TREK board. War is declared
2022 - The war is raging on with many thread loss but victory is achieved when a TREK BBS task force manages to surround the enemy's Server machine and pulls the plug.
2024 - A new enemy is revealed when a force of virgins who have never seen a women's breast before called SPAMMERS begin to invade TREK BBS server space. They seem intent on assimilating millions of megabytes. After a bloody massacare where over 40 threads and there ops are defeated, The BBS launch one last desperate offensive. The deactived account of I AM LEGEND is cloned and we allow him to be assimilated. Once they absorb his account info they begin to spam among themselves posting utter crap, which causes a feedback loop wiping out there invasion fleet.
2030 - The Spammers are back in one giant ship and despite taking heavy damage they reach our server machine. Just before they are destoyed they launch a spam probe which sets back our server clock to 1999. However several members are able to follow them and stop them from preventing Christian Höhne Sparborth from launching TREK BBS.
2040 - The TNZ is rebooted under a new name "The Robau Zone" with the tagline...Only Bad-Asses are welcome.
2050 - Trek BBS is enjoying a time of peace and is the number 1 website on the Internet.
2051 - Aragorn the now very old gentically enchaged leader of TREK BBS is pulled inside an adware message and finds himself in an alternate universe at the year 2009, were Berman & Braga were tried for crimes against humanity for the TATV finale. Also everything in this Universe is oddly bright and the Trek BBS is 600 metres bigger than before.

Unfortunately, Misc blows up and everyone is killed.I'm in talks with JJ Abrams right now for the TrekBBS reboot.
I'm thinking Jayson will play Holdfast now, Good Will Riker can be RJDiogenes and in response to nuBSG, auntiehill is the new MadBaggins. If anyone here wants Kate Beckinsale to get a restraining order on you, you can become the new BigFoot. Also contemplating Jack Bauer becoming Kim Bauer instead.
I like this reason the best.
But Bonz and all the staff do a great job. And all the regulars too, without all of these factors, who knows what trekbbs would be. But right now it's my favourite place for Star Trek and the Community is awesome, even if many of my old friends have disappearred due to real life.
This, I reckon.
I've already been here 10 years. A few more is neither here nor there.
If I left, TrekBBS would survive, as I've trained a backup and also have a backup to the backup. I was thrown into it with little training, so I swore I'd leave it better if I had to resign.
If AntonyF left, the board would survive if C found someone else to run it.
If C got tired of doing it/it wasn't worth his while, the board would end, unless he sold it to someone and then who knows?
I never dreamed I'd run the place and I sure am surprised to have made it to six years (will be six years at the end of the month.) Thanks to my mods and admins, C for having patience with me, Antony for keeping it running and you posters, the reason I even stayed at the site in the first place. I came for Trek, I stayed for the people.

I was seriously thinking about this earlier. I am not sure what I would do if this place suddenly disappeared. I have visited this place almost daily going on nine years, first as a lurker and then as a member. The BBS has become this weird habit that I just can't seem to break... and don't really want to break.
