How into Halloween are you?

I've known people who regard Halloween as crypto-Satanic. And I've known an Episcopal Priest, The Rev'd Mary Goshert, who called that notion "nonsense" from the Pulpit, then commented that anywhere other than the Pulpit, she'd have used a stronger word (after the service, I'd suggested "bovine scat," pointing out that both the initials and the literal meaning fit perfectly). In the sermon, she went on to say that Christians have a duty to laugh in the face of imaginary manifestations of evil: if we can't do that, how are we going to face the very real ones?

I really enjoy Halloween. Around here, if you want trick-or-treaters you leave your porch lights on. I don't, because I'm diabetic and don't want candy around. I decorate, but only inside my house. Some people go all out with real caskets in the front yard with vampires or ghouls inside and cobwebs on the trees, etc.

Sitting on a school bus in a pirate outfit, with a stuffed parrot. Couldn't bring my prop swords and flintlock pistol, though.

I'm nowhere into Halloween as much as this guy:

I just remembered I forgot to check out a local house that usually has a very elaborate Halloween display.
