How fast is warp speed?

...how fast is the Vesta-class slipstream drive, then, in terms of Warp 9.999??? equivalent?

I asked this on the first page but no one ever answered; then again, I don't know how many of you are familiar with that class from the "Destiny" trilogy and recent Voyager books.

This has been answered in the Treklit forum, but either I missed it on my look through or the thread has been deleted (it wasn't that long ago, but they seem to only keep three pages there :shrug:). IIRC nothing specific has been tied down, but it's something along the lines of "a little faster than slipstream was in episode X, but a lot slower than it was in episode Y", and "speed of plot, but faster than warp".

I think it is great that Trek is finally getting close to the SW Stargate ship speeds at last.
