How do you feel about Beltran doing narrations for LaRouche?

Funny thing about Larouch is that he is a chameleon. heppeals bot the to the commies and the hard right.
I am definitely a member of the hard right, at least as I would be categorized by my fellow TrekBBSers, and he appeals to me not in the least.

Same here. I see nothing worth supporting in him. And I rather resent the implication that those of us who are conservative on this board would in any way think physical violence was appropriate against anyone who has not physically threatened you (i.e. a clear and present danger to life and limb).

All conservatives and most of the liberals (who have very few differences in foreign policy with conservatives) on this bbs most definitely approve physical violence, to the extent of justifying millions of deaths, against people who do not pose a threat to their life and limb. Communists and other leftists were specifically attacked overtly and covertly in Korea, Vietnam, the Congo, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Iran, the Phillippines, Haiti, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, South Africa, Angola, Mozambique and others. The list is too long to be complete without notes.

There was not even an effort to pretend that there was a threat to "our" life and limb in attacks on Serbia, Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan and Syria. It is now openly accepted that the US president will boast of selecting people to murder by drone!

I think it can be safely said that Lyndon LaRouche has pursued personal aggrandizement above all else, but he has pursued it with policies and declared principles that gave him extraordinary success in the inner workings of the Republican Party. The supposed leftism is a propaganda facade for wrecking entries into the Democratic Party, such as the stealth candidates in Illinois 1986 whose primary victories split the opposition to the Republicans for Secretary of State. Larouche's movement depends crucially on its appeal to conservatives, both for its own adherence to conservative principles and it unprincipled tactics in service to conservatism.

I'm closing this before it fully evolves into a heated political debate. I think the question of how we feel about Beltran's narration has been answered, anyway.
