Got to agree with Picard on that one. The eye rolling is merited because there is not even an effort being made. That's what irks. Seriously, as an adult, does that even look right? There are plenty of online spellcheckers and sites to refer to.

Anyhoo, I'm acutally at work, at a job and I post quickly in between doing a million fuckin things.... most times i don't proof read, about the only time i do is when i put up a caption......so i have quite a bit of spelling mistakes and god fuckin forbid grammer too! So along those lines why don't you follow me around and make sure i spell every got-damn thing right...obviously you have plenty of time on your hands so you can be my little helper...yayyyyy!!!

Sometimes it's not spelling of long, esoteric words that's a problem. It's people who have English as there first language that forget that your supposed to spell definately with too Ls. or forget to capitalize names or the first letter in a sentence.
So which spelling Nazi is going to take this post and rip it to shreds? Do we cut Nard a little slack since he's not from the USA?? Oh where is CaptainHawk when you need him...oh yeah LOL I wouldn't know since I don't ever need him!

It's easy to call people "spelling nazis", but if I mispronounced "Klingon" as "KlyngOne" while speaking, don't tell me most people wouldn't swiftly correct or ridicule me.
While I understand that English is not everyone's first/primary language, and that some people are genuinely dyslexic, it's NOT the case for the bulk of us here. It's hardly a big effort to figure out that "then" and "than" aren't interchangeable, that there's no "e" in "ridiculous", or that you don't apostrophize possessive like "its". Occasional typos are one thing, but really...

Dee did many classic tv shows of the 50's and 60's especially Western's were he was often the heavy. He did ok.
There was a superb episode of Bonanza, where he played a doctor(!) who was waiting in jail, to be hanged for murder. The conflict of the story was that somebody needed lifesaving surgery that only Kelly's character could perform.
So the sheriff, the judge, the Cartwrights (of course), and the sick man's family all had a dilemma: did they ask a doctor whom they were about to execute to do one last medical procedure, and then execute him anyway? If they pardoned him in return for performing the surgery, that would anger the family of the murder victim (who sincerely wanted justice, and were looking forward to witnessing the execution).
Or would they accept the doctor's own demands: that if he performed the surgery, would the sheriff/judge make sure his own family's financial/other needs were met (assuming he'd be executed no matter what)?
It was quite an examination of "what is justice" and if the Hippocratic Oath compels a doctor to render all possible aid to the sick even though he's still going to be executed after he's done so - at one point in the episode, he refuses to do anything for the sick man, saying that they could pay what he asked and he'd do his best to save the man, or they could refuse to pay and the man would die... but since he himself expected to hang anyway, it wasn't really his decision to make. If the payment was refused, would that make the judge/sheriff murderers?
All in all, an extremely thought-provoking and satisfying episode of a series that rarely delved a fraction so deep.
Yeah, I'm curious about this too.

I was gonna drop in here with the words 'man-whore' (inspired by a description of Laurence Harvey's early years as recounted on the ROOM AT THE TOP dvd) but then I backed up and read the thread and realized i was DAYS late with that notion.
The guy did a ton of cons in the 70s, all of the Joan Winston conventions, and as I recall, HE BANKED HIS MONEY FROM TREK (except for buying the car.)
The STARDUST book is a nice read. I paid full price for it, expecting to be disappointed, but still own it. The stuff about George Reeves is interesting and sad ... the guy sounds like Shatner in a way, but not as lucky, to be sure.

LOL I guess you've seen my spelling tirades around the board....but I really fuck up grammar on a regular basis...the word and everything it means LOL...maybe this is the time I'll remember it's an a...but I doubt it.
People post so much speculation and twisted memories on the Internet, that when I read something outlandish like this one, that I've never heard about before, I generally write it off. Unless, of course, the OP can provide some source(s).
