Along with watching The Bad Batch, I just got the e-book versions of two of The High Republic novels, Light of the Jedi and Into the Dark, which are on sale today.

I guess these were released today, it's certainly when I first saw them, but Disney+ has put up what are basically Star Wars Yule Logs. "Vehicle Flythroughs" are ~5 minute long interior and exterior tours of ships (currently the OT-era Millennium Falcon, and the First Order Star Destroyer) which look to be a mix of CG for the exteriors and CG and live-action for the interiors (I'm curious about when the live-action portions would've been shot), but the real spectacular piece is "Star Wars Biomes," a set of leisurely single-take overviews of a half-dozen Star Wars planets (with low-key Star Wars action happening from time to time in the distance), almost certainly riffing on the "Aerial" screensaver from the AppleTV. Which is something I've wanted to do, and thought should be done with picturesque and over-designed fictional locales from movies, TV, and video games, for a very long time, but I'm just one person, not ILM's have-some-wacky-fun R&D division. The Crait segment, in particular, is downright artistic.

I hope there are more of these, because they are extremely my jam.

Was going to wear one of my lightsabers from Ultrasabers to work, but got a late start and didn't give myself time to find the clip for a belt. That and I couldn't find the one I wanted to wear last night (Archon 3.1).

I actually spent most of the day chasing my Mother's 90th birthday present which the courier had lost.

The same way I always celebrate May the 4th: By explaining that Star Wars day is May 25th. But wearing a Star Wars shirt (or my Solo vest) anyway.

I would have more patience for May the Fourth if Star Wars Day was in December. But it's only three weeks away! (A first world problem of ever there was one.)
