Hot Wheels Movie Enterprise

Nice. I have the playmates version, but for some reason, on the smaller scale stuff there is a lot more detail. :wtf:

I found this in the early/mid 90's with the micro machines Trek line they released. There was a helluva lot more detail on those tiny ships than there was on the AMT models and othger various playmates toys. Especiallt the detail on the 1701 and the 1701-D ships. And yet they were so tiny.

I am surprised at how everyone here is loving this Hot Wheels toy so much when the ones already released were given such a lackluster reception a few months back.

Well I think everyone has been waiting for this Enterprise to be released. This is really the only one I've been wanting to really get. They're not the most impressive but you take what you can get I suppose.

I haven't seen the HW Abramsprise, but have seen a fair stock of Enterprises and Reliants at my local places (of course, that might have changed with the Christmas rush).

I think it was supposed to be released in late summer, but obviously, given the pictures of the OP's ship, Mattel must've delayed sale of it until they retooled it to look more like the movie ship.
In earlier pictures of the HW ST09 Enterprise (like April or so), the nacelles were red and there was a gold band ringing the upper part of the saucer. It didn't look much like the movie ship at all.

Still, to be blunt, the CD case Enterprise I bought at Target with the movie looks about as good or better than the HW one. Of course, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to buy it anyway.

Anyone find these or the previous ones in Canada at all? I've been searching for months and could not find them anywhere!

I just recieved the "new" Enterprise in the mail. Amazingly...it fits (mostly) in scale with the 1/2500 scale Enterprise model sets (which I was hoping for). At least it does if you compare the bridges of the original Jeffries Enterprise, the 1701-A and the new E together.

I am currently working on a total repaint and modify of the Hot Wheels movie ship. Tons of work needed. I am also creating a full set of detailed decals (including the aztecing). When she's finished, I will post before and after pics.

There's also Battle-Damage versions of all the ships in the first wave.
That's what I was referring too. The "battle damage" is just painted-on decals... no creativity involved. I would like to see the Reliant with a blown off nacelle, but instead...

Sorry, didn't see your post before I posted.

Btw, there's also a Narada that was on display at Comic-Con. I can post a picture when I get home from work.
