The kids could be anyway you wanted them to be. As a hologram your GF could be programmed with a pregnancy subroutine which will give birth to a holographic baby. Do this for as many times as you see fit and there you have it, your own reprogrammable holographic family.

Seriously, ok, I love my wife, she's everything I could possibly want...

but if Holodeck tech actually existed, I would have never have left the home to meet her in the first place. The fact that it was an artificial life would not bother me one bit.

What I'm more curious about is what limitations are on the Holodeck. Say, for instance, a pedo got into a holodeck and programmed a fantasy to his tastes. Would the computer cry foul and shut him down? report him? would he be prosecuted?
