Highlander the series: I miss it

I watched Highlander the series on the scifi channel a few days ago. I recorded the 14 episodes they showed and skipped the awful Highlander the Source. I wished they would show the later episodes. I enjoyed seeing Nigel Terry on fire and some of the other guest stars. The show really got better later except in one regard. I like smiling, happy Macleod more than moody, I'm tired of fighting Macleod.

I miss Highlander: The Series as well.

It was by no means the best show I've ever seen but it managed to get very important things right. Chief among them was managing to create characters I found I really cared about. I also really loved the flashbacks and, in general, the use of music throughout the show.
I do miss it. But it's nice to think back and rewatch. It's a rather fond memory.

I netflixed and rewatched the whole series over several months last year, and I miss it as well. Although it had its weak elements, it did capture the feel of "Highlander" and it had a fantastic cast.

It's a crying shame the movies were such stinkers and they kept trying to keep Connor and Duncan in the same milieu. In my mind the original movie and the series should each be their own 'thang'.

Apparently there is some kind of remake in the works. I dunno how they are going to top Connery and Clancy Brown, though.

I miss Highlander and the Eurpoean location shooting.
I wish there had been a Chronicles of Methos spin-off.
[Looking forward to Peter Wingfield on Sanctuary, though]

Yes, i loved that show. It is the best thing to come from the Highlander franchise along with maybe the first movie.

But man oh man...I saw Highlander The Source a month or so ago
What a piece of shit...Absolutely terrible

Why can't anyone make a decent freaking highlander movie :scream:

I remember that the 1st and the last season of this show sucked. But seasons 2-5 was probably the best what we got from the Highlander franchise aside from the original motion picture of 1986.

The whole series is up on Hulu.com, if you're really missing it that much.

Only if you're in the US. Yes, there are ways and means around that. But if you just want to sit down and watch from across the pond, you're in bad luck

It's one of my favorite shows of all time. It had its rough spots, but it's a very enjoyable series. Seasons three and four were simply fantastic. Season five was great, too. Season two was pretty good, and season one was okay. It's a shame season six was so awful.

I miss this show too. It was nice to see the show get better and better as the seasons went along, though I confess seasons 3 and 4 were the high points for me. Season five was good as well, but six was a big

I miss it, too. I miss Methos and Joe the most. Sometimes shows go off the air but the characters are still around - because of re-runs or because there's a big fanbase for them, but Highlander just seemed to go away. It's a shame, because the characters never seem to be around. I hope that makes sense to someone!

I love Highlander (the series) which is why I have all six seasons on DVD. I also own "The Raven" but I have only watched that series the once.

The movies (except for the first) are great disappointments.

What was that awful show he made? It was a scifi tv show and he would make hi-tech stuff from useless garbage. I wanted to like it, but I didn't.

What the hell is Hulu.com? Do you download from it? Or do you just watch like on youtube? Do you need to register?

Hulu.com is actually pretty cool. You can stream shows that are online there, such as Highlander or Babylon 5, for example.

You don't need to register. Just go to the site, pick the show you like and be happy you're located in the US :D.

Oh hell yeah.

Edit: I watched an Exosquad and some Highlander and then I tried to watch a clip from Red Dragon, which seems to be a remake of Manhunter(Grissom from CSI was the star). It wanted me to register because it was adult. So you do have to register to see anything like that.

Too bad Adrian Paul didn't have more of a career afterwards.

According to my best friend he did, she has just about every movie he ever made. As she isn't on the internet she often gets me to send away for any movie she can't find in the stores.

At the moment she is waiting for "The Immortal Voyage of Captain Drake" to be released. She thought that "Highlander: The Source" was good (I thought it was really bad). She had me send for the Russian DVD of The Source because it was released there before it was released anywhere else. Then she bought the English version just in case it differed at all from the Russian version.
