Something seems odd about this. Why would a publishing house need donations to get a license they were already granted? Perhaps I don't know enough about the publishing world, but shouldn't they already have the funds? Or enough to get going where they are not relying on donations and backers?

It sounds like whoever owns the Highlander license is offering novelization rights around and this 'company' or whatever is trying to get the money to pay for the book license through donations. Not really sure why someone would donate money so someone else could then make money.

I got more important things to do with my money.
