High quality animated sci-fi shows?

^^ Thanks...It seems the preview period ended in October. But there are a few photos in the episode summaries that look interesting.

Well in terms of new shows not many...if you are interested there is a new Gundam show out called Gundam Unicorn, but I'm not going to tell you how to find it.

The last Gundam show was the best of the bunch by far: Gundam 00.
I've been out of the Gundam loop since 00 ended. Wasn't a movie being planned to continue the storyline introduced in the final episodes?
Unicorn? Giant mechas that transform..into unicorns? Fighting against Zeon Gazelle mechs?

The movie Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer released in Japanese theaters only 2 months ago yes, so I wouldn't expect a decent copy of that to show up for at least 4-5 months. As mentioned above UC is still ongoing, it's an extremely high quality and awesome direct to video series which takes frelling forever to come out unfortunately. Two of the six episodes have been released on Blu-Ray, though there's a DVD release coming as well.

The Blue-Ray is coming out Christmas, so I wouldn't be surprised if the raws were out inside of a few days and subs within two weeks (or the same time as the raws, if we're lucky).

You can see why they call it Unicorn:

that looks great, but i'm not looking for guys in robot suits.

just robots with a limited AI like zeta or the sentinels.

If youy haven't already, get to "Batman: The Animated Series". Opening theme/animation:

Robots, human replcate robots, time distortion, body moprhing -- got a lot of science fiction in it.

Well I assumed you were interested in more than just the Sentinels or AI.

In Gundam 00 there's a AI from the original creator of the Gundam "OS" that becomes a major plot point later on in the series.

I looked at the new Avengers series and its actually pretty good, but WAY too short. They can't effectively tell stories in 22 min. There are lots of robots in it, including a Kree super robot in the last episode.

The animation of the new Iron Man Adventures series is top notch if you can stand the reboot of Iron man history where Stark become Iron Man as a kid.

The preview for the Iron Man anime show coming up is breathtakingly good!

Compare to the 60s show:

There's a new Tron series coming up as well on DisneyXD

Always liked how they continued the style of European comics during the 90's.

The Wings of Honneamise - My favourite anime movie of all, an alternate history of the Space Race, one of the most beautful, detailed anime ever made.

An other-worldly space race, actually, with a completely alien culture. I loved the attention to detail, but I would've preferred it if they dropped the sub-plot with the religious girl.

Robotech series is quite good...

You mean the three series that were rewritten and mashed together to create Robotech?

Aka Super Dimension Forthress Macross, Genesis Climber Mosepada, and Super Dimension Calvalry Southern Cross?

It's better to watch the original version my friend.

I second the motion to watch the original Macross series over the butchered Robotech versions. Most of what people like about Robotech is Macross derived. I wish Harmony Gold would fold already so we could get Macross Frontier Blu-Rays over in the states.
