Hey, I never noticed that before....

...Which raises interesting questions. Why was he clad all wrong?

We might do well to assume the planet below was undergoing rapid changes in fashion; instead of somehow being a parallel 19th century United States, it was a make-believe theme park where the mentally controlled people considered it the most natural thing that they had to change clothes at noon and terrorize the town in a bout of mindless anarchy every fourth Thursday.

On that issue, and on-topic, it took me a while to notice that these people in throes of this "mindless anarchy" never ever break any of that expensive glass on the backlot set! All the shop windows remain intact even when there are bonfires and loose planks and bricks everywhere.

At least one window got broken. There's an anecdote from the set (which I'm struggling to find right now) where the director said that, while they were rolling on the riot scene, he threw a rock at a window, but it made just a small hole in the glass. And his assistant threw a second rock, and it sailed harmlessly through the hole. They couldn't have done it on purpose, and it was a bit frustrating.

It took me a long time to notice the turbolift has two sets of doors, even though once you see them, they're very obvious. :)
A feature which sadly did not carry over onto the TMP sets, nor any of the subsequent Trek productions

Doors were thinner and had fine craftsmanship so you couldn’t see the joins. It’s an aesthetic choice done by starfleet.
Ahem.

In Savage Curtain....during the first fight, an overhead shot show Lincoln hurling Kahless aside. Kahless' leg hits a huge boulder which moves about 2 feet.
